Our Vision
Autism Hearts Foundation envisions a world in which the needs of ALL individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders are met, and the cultural and cognitive diversity of people living on the spectrum is celebrated, not stigmatized. Where each person receives the highest level of customized care and treatment, education and lifelong support they deserve.
As AHF works towards the cultivation of a greater awareness and understanding of the unique strengths and challenges associated with ASD, our vision is realized by the cultivation of culturally relevant, relationship-oriented, family-based support services.
Our Mission
Our mission is to maximize the potential of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders to learn, develop, function independently, and participate in the full range of social and cultural activities for an improved quality of life.
Social Values
Community and Families: We work to support and help navigate access to primary, secondary, and tertiary services, including early childhood diagnosis and family support, education, case management and advocacy
Awareness and Education: We believe access is just the beginning. Long-term social impact at the systemic level, begins with expanding awareness and education around core issues, including capacity building with other agencies and organizations, research and development, and cultural competency
Advocacy and Prevention: Individuals living on the spectrum are placed at relatively greater risk of discrimination, obstructed access to appropriate medical care, education, and resources, economic poverty, under-education, and under employment, emotional and physical abuse and neglect.
